Avatar was NOT named after the popular movie that was out in theater's around the time of his birth, despite common misconception. :) In fact, Avatar and
his siblings were named after one of my more recent favorite tv series, "Wildfire". He and his brother Wildfire were named after two of the great champion race horses that
the tv show centered around. Since pups so often grow up to be exactly like what or whom they were named for (ie, his daddy Spook is very spooky), my hope was that these two boys would
grow up to be fabulous racers like their namesakes!
Never have I seen two brother so incredibly connected as Wildfire and Avatar. Originally I had only planned on keeping Wildfire but it quickly became apparant that I couldn't separate the two boys from
each other. And frankly, Avatar's build from 8 weeks of age on has been so impressive I was loathe to let him go!
At 4.5 months of age Avatar was already taller than his mother and almost as tall as the 8 month old pups in the yard. Despite the fact that his mom is a peanut, it appears he's going to be a good sized dog. His
personality is very sweet and loving - and hyper, as is the case with most sibe puppies! I just adore this boy and his brother so much and as much as I can't wait to see how they do in harness, I'm having
a blast enjoying their puppyhood. :-)
