Wildfire and his siblings were named after one of my more recent favorite tv series, "Wildfire". He and his brother Avatar were named after two of the great champion race horses that
the tv show centered around. Wildfire was my favorite male from the moment of birth, thus he was the one named after the show's equine star.
Wildfire and his brother Avatar are so attached to each other that it just amazes me. Whenever I look out in the yard, the two boys are side by side as if posed for a photo, or cuddled up together
sleeping, or one is washing the other's ear out. I truly have never seen two siblings so connected.
Both brothers are already good sized males at 4.5 months of age (taller than their mother), and their racy builds just make me drool in delight! Wildfire is a hair shorter than his brother,
and just as sweet as can be. While Avatar is the more dominant attention-getting of the two, Wildfire is more gentle - content to lay on his back while you rub his belly, his eyes closing in
ecstasy. I have never had a litter born in winter, so that I got to raise the pups in spring/summer season, and have to say I am really loving this as I have a ton of time to shower these
two special boys with attention. It's also the first time in a long time I've only had TWO young pups to raise at once - I forgot just how nice that was. :-)
