Mikayla was my first siberian, and was initially purchased as a pet. She is the reason I got interested in mushing to begin with and I began gee-haw training her at 6 months of age. By the time she was 9 months old she was bikejoring with me.

Mikayla loves to run in harness and sometimes trains with the puppy teams, or free runs beside the adult team in the fall. Unfortunately the main string team has just gotten too fast for her to comfortably keep up with so she doesn't often get out these days. But she gets other privileges here at Sibersong: she's an official House Princess, and she often accompanies me on trips to visit family. She's also my favorite hiking dog because unlike most Siberians she is good off-leash.

Mikayla is obedience trained and very smart and I've done some competition obedience training with her - I hope to try her in AKC events in the future.
